Default Looking For Friends! I Am A Newbie!!

Hello. The name is Don and I just moved into The Villages last Friday. Still trying to figure out my way around.
I am a retired Air Traffic Controller (for a long while) and just retired from the State of Michigan.
I love to fly as I am an active flight instructor.
Other interest: Cooking; riding my bike and if able 35 miles per day; The Fine Arts; Music (I can sing Tenor); fishing; and just to enjoy new friends.
So post up and say "Hello."
Multiple people have responded that are Retired Air Traffic Controllers here in The Villages. If you fit into that category, contact me. I am trying to put together a "Meet & Greet" for this Friday. We are a unique career family. So contact me. Thanks.

Welcome! We moved in last Sept. Before getting here, I searched for a church & choir and ended up corresponding with the music director and the choir director at St. George Episcopal. It was a great choice! As with most choral groups, tenors are always welcome. Practices should begin either right before or right after Labor Day. If you're interested, email the church office and the secretary will put you in touch with one or both of the directors.

HI Don. I will be a newbie at the luncheon on July 27 and looking forward to meeting new people. Although not currently living in the Villages, I did in the past and welcomed the invite from chachacha to attend. It's hard being a single with so many friends being married.
You will love the Villages and I hope to be back there in a few years. What types of airplanes are you a CFI for? I was taking light sport lessons in Dunnellon, but after moving from Ocala it was too far to travel. If you are interested in an EAA Chapter in the area to checkout, I know of one I think you'd enjoy. Again, welcome to the area!!
