Default Rescue me!

Snowed in.

Plenty of food, libations, and the house is warm. But no companionship.

Driveway is impassable. May have to dig self out.

Hoping single ladies of TV form posse to rescue me before romance fades.

Baking brownies if that is any incentive.

Sounds like an upstate New York or Michigan mentality! LOL!

I know the feeling - been sitting in front of the electric fireplace

reading a book. No brownies. 'Fridge stocked as is wine pantry.

Ah yes........companionship - hard to come by in The Villages............

care to talk? Nancy

Grew up in Minnesota. Now in Maryland. Hemingway in April.

Love to talk to the ladies. Send me a private message (PM me) and I'll either send you my phone number or you can give me yours. Whatever you feel comfortable doing.

I'll try to talk as soon as possible (understanding of course appropriate time and protocol). Listening to Boomer radio right now, and having a glass of wine. Still need to fix dinner and dig my driveway out.

Mr. Kris, you are a youngster. Just a kid. Not much older than my son. Cheer up, spring will come and then you'll be here. If it's any consolation, it's chilly here too.

At first I was going to say no way! But then I thought, I feel like I'm in my 20's so you could be right. Physically and emotionally I have never felt better. Must be retirement. The pension doesn't hurt. Did I mention I'm a pensioner? Has a totally different connotation than it did when I was a (really) young man.

And in my mind it is not The Villages, but the people in The Villages. I love my attitude. It just took 64 years to get there.

Shame you're not making fudge -- that would get my attention. Good luck on being snowbound. April will be here before you know it (and Jblum's son is a bit younger than 64 rofl).

Damn! I love fudge. But I'm not a cook. I use Betty Crocker Low-Fat Fudge Brownie Mix. One egg, one table spoon veg oil, and 1/2 cup of water.

But I have been to Solvang. Fantastic chocolates. Solvang CA - Santa Ynez Valley in Santa Barbara County - California

Solvang has good fudge but nothing beats homemade fudge. Mirimack (sp?) in Michigan has good fudge, too. Some of the best used to be at the boardwalk in Asbury Park, NJ (shop probably long gone). Dude, you gotta learn how to make the stuff (get a jar off marshmallow cream -- it has a decent recipe). Beats brownies any day. (Get the feeling I love fudge?)

In the meantime, enjoy your brownies, put on Gaynor's "I Will Survive", find a good book and enjoy being indoors.

Do you make you own fudge? I can make some for you sometime if you don't. (not the marshmallow cream stuff kind) I usually make about 6 different kinds for the holidays.

Between the talk about brownies, fudge and in another thread there was oysters and crab, I am getting really hungry! LOL
