your Unclub oldies are planning a big dance social for all of us members to be able to finally meet everyone in one place. we have reserved the large room at the Coconut Cove Rec Center on Stillwater Trail for Wed, Sept 12. we have a dj and will be collecting money for catering before the event...Katie will be mailing out the official invitation at the proper time but for those of you who are not on our email list yet, please send a PM to Katerogers to get onto her list. the large room has no carpet and can hold up to 100 people. since we have over 200 on our email list we should expect a good turnout...anyone who would like to help with organizing, decorating, cleanup etc please let Katie know. we will be taking suggestions on catering, too....since we are paying for the room, it is ok for those of us who live outside the villages to attend, also!! so mark your calendars!

Hi New Singles to the Villages (or Not So New Singles to the Villages who may not know about us),

I'm happy to see that Dianne posted about the Unclub party scheduled for September. There was a time when TOTV was packed with posts from single men and women who were new to the Villages and unsure how to best meet other singles and to get involved with the single social life here. So the Unclub was born. It was through the TOTV that the Unclub was started with 7 members 4 years ago and we now have 211 members. Unlike the established singles groups we have no Board of Directors, No dues, No meetings and No agenda. Every member plays an equal role in our group, by setting up social activitties or events. Once you are on the email list, you will receive periodic notices of activities or events that other Unclub members would like to invite you to or who are making a suggestion of an activity they are interesed in doing and are asking you to join in. Also, we have occasional Meet and Greet get togethers to introduce you to other members. If you are interested in joining us, just send a PM with your email address and I will gladly add you to our member list.
