Default Singles Picnic, Tuesday, 2/26/19, Lake Miona County Park, noon

Open to all area singles. Come and meet other singles.

Tuesday, Feb 26, is predicted to be nice weather for another singles picnic at Lake Miona County Park. These are spring and fall events! They also serve as a Meet 'n Greet. The weather is expected to be sunny and in the 70s.

This event is 100% informal. Just bring your own sandwich, or whatever, and drink. No need to bring food to share. [no alcohol permitted in the park]

Please wear a name tag. Put it in your car now so you won't forget it, as I often have!

The park has picnic tables in the shade, rest rooms, and an overall very pleasant setting on the lake. It is "inside" The Villages, but is NOT Lake Miona Rec Center!

Directions: It is about 2 miles or less NW of Sumter Landing town square.

Take Buena Vista Blvd to Rainey Trail round-about. From Buena Vista, you can only go west on Rainy Trail, so, go west on Rainy Trail [aka Rt 472] about 1/3 mile. When you enter a heavily wooded area, you are there. The entrance is on your left.

The park is owned and maintained by the county. It is legally separate from The Villages, although geographically it is surrounded by The Villages. No ID required! It is easiest to come by car. If you come by golf cart, park in nearby Ashland Village and walk a couple blocks.

People can stay as long as they wish, but I suspect most will be heading out by 1 PM or so to do other things, so try to come by 12 noon if you want to eat with the most people possible.

NO RSVP needed! Last time we had about 15 or more attend.

See you there!

Was the picnic cancelled? Or did I go to the wrong place?

Bill was there but when no one else showed up by 12:30 he finished his lunch and left...i guess the gloomy weather kept everyone home
