Default Suggested singles events

Hi,

I'm going to visit TV (the preview plan or whatever they call it) for five days starting May 23. I'm really looking forward to it since I'll have time to be involved in lots of activities. I've visited for day trips a number of times since I don't live too far away (Gainesville) and am 98% sure that I'll be moving to TV this year.

I'm single so I'd like to do some activities that are popular with single people during my visit. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark. I am from Gainesvill and moved to TV in 2013.
It is easy to be single in The Villages, and the ideas how to make friends dependson your personality and interests.
Do you like bug or small groups? What are your hobbies and interests? Also, what area ypou live in is important for knowing the ingles nearby...

Hi Kitty,

Thanks for the quick response. I'm friendly so any size group is ok. I don't have trouble making friends. I'm sort of athletic so activities that involve exercise are favorites. I teach Zumba classes where I live now and wouldn't mind learning other kinds of dance. I like bicycling, hiking, etc. Definitely want to try pickle ball.

I can tell that location in TV is a big deal. I'll be 64 in July so I'd like to live around people my age. It's hard to tell the age of the residents by riding around in a golf cart. So any suggestions about the best villages for people on the younger more active side would be fantastic.

Thanks for your help,
Mark

i think you will find younger residents anywhere as many purchase resales although i think the majority have bought south of 466A in the last couple of years...so we can probably plan a Meet and Greet during the week you are here...since some of us are going to the Stetson Mansion on the 28th, i think we should have our Meet and Greet on the porch of Lake Sumter Landing on Sunday the 24th at 4pm, before the music starts..that way you will meet a few friends to spend time with for the next few days you are here... does that conflict with any plans of yours? and i hope Doran and Mixsonci will be able to come, too!

Thanks! I'll be there. It will be great to meet people early in my stay. I really appreciate how friendly and helpful everyone is.
