my best friend of 48 years outdid herself tonight to throw me an out of this world surprise party! many of your faces were smiling at me and shouting Surprise while i was dumbfounded and very, very touched. i will be happily reading cards and opening gifts, enjoying my balloons, flowers and cake, and magdalena cookies which i love, for the next few days!! our own katie orchestrated some hilarious skits, among which was a spoof of our Meet and Greets! Hank put together a video with music which touched me deeply. it is wonderful to have such great friends, both old and new! thank you all!!

want to mention that orlfl has a thread on the travel forum about a trip to ecuador in jan 2015 and is looking for travel companions....check it out! we were too busy chatting happily at the meet and greet to really discuss too much travel! i am not sure if orlfl is a guy or a gal so maybe he or she could fill us in on aims of trip.

*** I finally decided and starting to plan my trip to Ecuador!
Looking for singles that want to explore this great country!
This will be my third time traveling to Ecuador, and do speak Spanish, so that won't be a challenge.
I am planning on January 2015 for about 7 days.
Do not have plans in visiting Galapagos or Cuenca (famous for retirement) but if anyone wants to add it to the trip, I am open for suggestions!

Basically, I am looking for 5 to 6 to join me so that we are not a big group.

I can't make it this January, I will just be arriving in TV in January will have a lot to do. However, since you have been to E 3 times now, I assume you love it and will want to go again. I would love to join you on your next trip and vist the Galapagos. Please keep me in mind. Christina
