I posted this information under another thread and it may be confusing to some newbies. So I'll reiterate it here.

Monday night is a singles dance at Waterfront hotel from 6:30 to 9:30. No membership needed. Lots of dancing including swing dances, slow dances and line dances.

Look for me and/or ChaCha we'll be around. (usually I'm later, LOL.)

Hopefully you wouldn't turn away a guy who could "cut the rug/dance" because of his status? Some spouse/others can't dance because of health, don't know how, etc..........................and he's a guy that wants to "cut the rug". So what do you all do? Can he come or do you all want him to stay home?

Newcomer,,, definitely do NOT stay home. It is not mandatory that you are single to come to this dance, only that you can dance.... I know of a couple of men who are in the same situation you are, and they are very welcome. Just make sure to look for ChaCha and/or me and dance with us.!!!!

BTW, there is another dance for singles and marrieds. Its on Thursday night at Bradenton Rec Center from 6 to 8:45 pm. Its called the Shag Club but you don't necessarily have to know the Shag,,, as long as you can dance, you're welcome to join us. We need more single male dancers attending. Its a lot of fun. Come check us out!!

Actually, there are many nights of dancing at Waterfront. I'll break it down as follows:

Monday night - Singles (or Marrieds) dance
Wednesday night - Dance with Pat Atkinson (Sumter Singles attend also)
Thursday night - Dance with Petrina
Saturday night - Dance with Pat and Jennifer Atkinson - many swing dances, line dances, and anything else you want to request.

the waterfront is one place where you can wear a dress and heels if you enjoy dressing up but also can be casual if that is your preference. casual but not sloppy, let's say.
