Default Wanted: 3 people to play cards

I am looking for 3 people to join me in playing cards, hopefully on a weekly or other regular basis. We could always play at my place, or rotate.

Here is where I probably reduce the number of those interested! I want to play a card game called "500", or "500 bid". It is not at all like 500 rummy which kids play. 500 is usually played 2 players to a team, and is similar to bridge, except it is much simpler and easier to learn. There is no "dummy" as there is in bridge [the person who sits out the hand while his partner plays alone against the other 2 players]. I can teach you the basics in a few minutes. It is more of a skill game than most card games, and less luck, but luck of course plays a role

I am living in either Lynnhaven or Summerhill villages. Each are very near Rt 466, and in the western side of the villages, near the high school. The closer you are, the better, if we end up playing regularly.

There are 2 clubs that play 500, and I have gone to each, but one is at the far north and the other at the far south. I will attend each again at times, but I'd like to also play in the atmosphere of having a few friends over. If more than 3 are interested, I guess we could always handle 2 games, since most of us have 2 tables at home. I would not want to go beyond that.

You may post here or PM me.

No "same time, same day" each week would be necessary. We could simply decide at the end of one evening when we'd play again. Could be once a week or once a month. I just want to convey that I am interested in more than just a one night stand!

Bill, I'd like to play and host as well. As you know I'm in the deep south of TV. My brain works better in daylight.

Well, we have me plus three ladies who posted here, plus another who PMd me, so now we have to set a day and time for the first go at it. The sooner the better as far as I am concerned. Tomorrow [Saturday] or Sunday, any time in the evening is fine if Kitty can get her brain to function that late, or afternoon is fine too if she cannot. Actually, I fear we may need her weaker evening brain just to give the rest of us a chance!

PM me or phone if you have my number re when available.

We need a pool of more than 4 because we are having a tough time setting a day and time for that first game! Space still available!

Yes. We just played 2 days ago. Players have varied a bit, basically whoever is availabe and wants to play on any given evening. I'd be glad to add you to the short list of players if you want to PM me your first name and phone.

If there's more players than you need, is anyone interested in playing Samba? I live in Pinellas and am looking for a group to play on a regular basis. We need 4, and maybe a few subs. PM me or post on here if anyone is interested.
