Yesterday, I watched the most depressing sporting event of my life, The Belmont Stakes. I attended many races at Belmont Park in NY over the years, and have always enjoyed the excitement of the Triple Crown races. Changing the order and distance of the final leg of the Triple Crown was a disaster. There was no excitement, just a race, without people cheering. What a letdown. I was sorry I watched it, and if the Kentucky Derby is the same in September, I don't plan on watching it. Just my humble opinion. There is no more tele track betting at Oxford Downs, so it was difficult to put a few bucks on the race. I know, Ocala was an option.
