He was a great coach - but he had some anger issues!

The world needs more "Characters!"

"“When my time on earth is gone, and my activities here are passed,” he once said. “I want them to bury me upside down, and my critics can kiss my ass.”

Hated the guy! But then, I was a Golden Gophers fan at the time...

Kinda like the lawyer my first wife retained for our divorce. He was lowdown, duplicitous, sleazy. He was lower than a snake's belly in a wagon rut. But I knew that if I ever needed an attorney he'd be the first one I'd call.

Played in a Golf tournament in MN where the Vikings would host a tournament. We had a caddie that claimed to have work Bobby's group. Those from MN would know his playing partner Sid Hartman (a sports writer). The caddie claims that Bobby would always tee off 2 club lengths ahead of the tee's claiming the rules allowed it. No one ever challenged him for fear of seeing the bench on the tee box fly.... the rule actually states you are allowed up to 2 club lengths behind the tee markers...

I think he still holds the world record in tossing folding chairs.

& he's a golfer.

A childhood friend of mine
went to WP and was coached
by asst. coach BK. They played
a 1on 1 game and the friend
both got roughed up and gave it back to BK. They remained friends for the next about 58
years. I would think he might
attend services with his very
close friend Pat Riley.

He was convicted of assaulting a police officer in Puerto Rico, left the island, never served his sentence. I hope they bury him there or spread his ashes there as an act of contrition.

That is funny!
I loved playing with those sort of guys for $$$$.
I would wind them right up with excessive sympathy, they would explode and blow it every time!
Didn't always work though. Once played against a chap who got better the madder he got.
It nearly came to a knuckle up by about the 12th.
The good old days!

SOME anger issues❓ That's like stating Janis Joplin had a LITTLE heroin problem.
