The Shameful Controversy Over Olympic Boxer Imane Khelif | WIRED

Seems to be its her turn to be the top of the hill in the type of field which the Olympics fields is much different than annual world championship events. .

So if the person has been medically cleared, has been competing in the same category all her life, not just now, and now the person starts to win, its time to be outraged on what grounds? first time awareness bias via social media?

Are you being fair or just being part of the headlines mob rule of everything you read on the internet is true? where was this outrage at the last Olympics?

yes part of the article is behind a paywall, for me as well, but the main points are visible after declining the subscription offer.

do you still think/feel that you aren't manipulated by news/social media? maybe Russian misinformation? 4 years of internet misinformation starting to confuse everyone?

The very simple solution to this ridiculousness is to change the nomenclature in competitions to XX/XY/Alphabet Soup (or whatever term you want to use to describe the LGBTQIA… and whatever other letters have been added lately to the alphabet soup gang). This allows biological women to compete with biological women, biological men with Biological men, and can be verified with bloodwork and a birth certificate.
Or have a separate alphabet soup Olympics for trans/misgendered athletes. No different than having a special Olympics for people with various handicaps, and Paralympics for people with physical handicaps, EVERYONE can compete in their own wheelhouse.
It is tragic that we have let ourselves fall apart to this degree, but it would work and be easy to implement.

Just me if IT was born a female always a female. IT’LL get her head ripped off & if IT will happen to win, the guy that lost should try there hardest to get into women’s sports then the women in that sport should cancel that sport, just my feelings!

There are many kinds of oddities as a result of a variety of different syndromes and other irregularities. Extra chromosomes, limbs, teeth, webbing on hands or feet, and so on. These abnormalities may hinder or help these individuals depending on what their situation is. The Olympic games are a competition between athletes of specific groups or individuals. All competitors should (in my opinion) have the same basic qualifications to compete like for like. No extra enhancements. No extra arms (big advantage in boxing or wrestling perhaps), legs (running maybe), chromosomes (possible differences in development or distribution of muscle mass/strength).
Trans-athletes, belong with other trans-athletes to keep things truly fair for all.
Just my humble and imperfect opinion.
They are the exceptions that prove the rule.

IMO, give equal opportunities and create a trans sport league.
Men, women, trans. Sports is now saved and everyone is treated equally.

I feel oppressed I cannot compete in the Special Olympics. My ex said I should qualify...

The anti doping rules should be applied. Too high test, banned.

That will go over big. Want to become a sponsor?

Let's take it a step further. How about one for gays?

What I’ve read ( for what that’s worth?) she born female with extremely high testosterone. IMO not uncommon with all the natural Tom boys around. Women weightlifter’s and bodybuilder’s good examples IMO. o add women rugby players also

OUCH! I don't want a medal that bad. This I'll stay home and watch the sopranos compete. 🫠😉

Hope for more researched and intelligent answers like this one.

Some of those rugby players are very big. Probably for the scrums.

Why is the testosterone too high? Injections, Y chromosome? If Injections, anti doping would disqualify for all competition. If Y chromosome, may still qualify for men's sports, depending on other qualifiers. Details can matter.
