This is what a certain faction of the world wants, to do away with gender differences, pretending everyone is physically and mentally equal. I don't think it's fair, either. But think with your head, not your heart. The rules have to change. Beating up a punk might make you feel better for the moment, but as long "it" is able to identify as a woman, that would make you the woman beater. That would not be good.

One in adulthood discovers that she is XY. She is a surprised as anyone else.

She has done nothing to change herself. She is NOT trans, but does have XY chromosomes. Let’s at least acknowledge that this situation is more nuanced than those wanting to create a sensation.

Correct. They were both born with vaginas. They probably both have testicles as well. That's what gives them the Y chromosome.

Believe it or not, this is not an uncommon event. DSD. Differences in Sexual Development. It occurs about as frequently as kids with red hair.

That being said, that Y chromosome still gives them a competitive advantage over XX. Better muscle development. Better bone density. They should not be allowed to compete with XX, at least not in 'battle' type events.
