This season will be the beginning of new kick off rules which are will change the starting field position of the offense. This could add to more scoring and make things more interesting. If you used to go get a beer or to the bathroom during the kick off you better hurry because the old boring kick offs are a thing of the past. These are my thoughts but time will tell.

Less injuries = good
More exciting plays = good
Less probable touchbacks = good

Can't see any real downsides, but I'm sure once we see what happens over a bunch of games, some will emerge.
