Well done coach as he stopped amazingly 2 of the attempts and guessed correctly on every single kick. Holland advances

I agree. A brilliant move!

Brazil National Anthem English lyrics - YouTube

Here's the Brazilian National Anthem. The US's sure sounds a lot better but I am rather biased about that.

Any predictions as to who takes the World Cup. Or, who wins with Germany vs. Brazil and Netherlands vs. Argentina.

Right now I see Germany playing Argentina in the Title Game.

If I wasn't watching it I wouldn't believe it. Germany beating Brazil 5-0 in the first half. Germany has got to be the favorite going into the final. What a performance!

Great teamwork for Germany. We will have to see how the Dutch and Argentians compare tomorrow. Must be a lot of truly devastated Brazilian soccer fans.

Sad day for the host country, a real embarrassment. I guess when they lost their star, he was the heart of the whole team. They couldn't do anything without him. That just means they built the team around one player. You can't win that way. I stand by my earlier prediction that Germany will go all the way. I felt that way since the Germany - USA match. They have great ball control. They had an incredible match today.. Too bad they couldn't save a couple of goals for the final. Tomorrow's match will be more interesting.

BBC Sport - Brazil in shock at World Cup rout

This article looks at how various newspapers around the World are treating Germany's sound defeat of host nation Brazil's team. I will have to look at a lot of the Brazilian newspapers too. I do not read Portuguese very well. I won an award at the University of Nevada, Reno for the Outstanding Reader of French so any of the Romance Languages are easy until you get into various conditional and past tenses. I do not get enough practice with foreign languages any more.

The 7-1 loss by Brazil is a shock to the entire soccer/football world!

A new era has started with that result. Before 7-1 loss and after 7-1 loss.

Go Blue and White. But, it will be tough, perhaps too tough, for them to beat Germany. I'm hoping, though. Si, Argentina!!!!

My wife wants a win for the Americas, but I fear that the European "machine" will be too much for them.

I will be rooting for Argentina also. Does your screen name reflect a connection to Ecuador? If so, I would love to talk to you about the expat community there.

So glad Argentina won! It would have been shameful to have not one South American team in the finals.

Germany vs Argentina 7/13/14 - World Cup Picks & Predictions » Picks and Parlays

Handicapper has Germany over Argentina 3-1.

http://www.ibtimes.com/germany-vs-ar...-final-1626358

David Beckham has Argentina winning 3-1. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/wor...World-Cup.html

Others have Germany 2-1. http://www.ibtimes.com/germany-vs-ar...-final-1626358

That sounds like the most logical outcome 2-1 with Germany winning its first World Cup as a unified nation. At least, the German men. The German women already did it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_in_Germany
