We swim at Colony Cottage sports pool every visit down, and I can tell you we always wait for a lane, it is always busy..If there is a sports pool in the morning that is not, please tell..We would love to find it. I vote for no guests also, sports pools are crowded enough...

Sports pools
as promised, below is reply from Recreation
We swam at Laurel Manor yesterday at noon - five lanes in, two people doing laps. Maybe the secret to avoiding the crowds is to skip the "lap" swims and do open or combo instead quote: Thank you for your email regarding the Sports Pools in the community. One of the reasons the Sports Pools are resident only with an age limit is residents wanted a pool for residents only to go to swim, water walk or take classes. The organized classes do tend to fill up and therefore residents did not want to have the class full with a few guests attending. We schedule activities at different times throughout the community to allow for the open swim times in various locations which is why you may go to a Sports Pool with few residents during that time. If the age limit or use by guests were to be changed the request would have to go to the District boards for approval, the Amenity Authority Committee and the Sumter Landing Community Development District board. The three types of pools were designed to fit each purpose, a resident only pool (Sports Pool), a family pool (Guests allowed) and a neighborhood pool (resident and guest over 30 year of age). If you need more information please feel free to contact me by email or call me at 750-2488. |
