Default Stephen Strasburg to retire

Stephen Strasburg to retire. I remember when he came up. He was a phenom but he has had health problems his whole career.

He signed a $245 million contract in 2019. He pitched 5 innings in 2020; 21.2 in 2021; 4.2 in 2022; and 0 this year.

What a shame that he was unable to have the career we all thought he would have.

Growing up a Senators fan, and thrilled to be a Nats fan, his career started out as meteoric... Then it completely flamed out... But that World Series year... It was beautiful...

Max Scherzer, otoh, had to be dragged off the mound, injuries be damned...
