Tal,

Stephen Hunter is a fantastic story teller. I have read many of his books starting with "Dirty White Boys", "Master Sniper" "Point of Impact" which was made into a movie with Mark Wahlberg and was called The Shooter. Fantastic movie based loosely on the book.

Thanks for telling us about this new book. I will be sure to go out and get it.

Larry

Stephen Hunter sure goes a lot into the history of Japanese swords as well as into samurai legends and Japanese movies about samurai. He is a film critic so he probably has seen many movies.

If you are familiar with Bob the Nailer books by Stephen Hunter, you should like this book. There were a few paragraphes that I had to read a few times to make any sense of, but other than that this is a fun read.

If you are not familiar with Bob the Nailer, there is a movie about this character and one of the novels about his adventures called Shooter. Some of the background of Bob the Nailer has been updated in the movie from the book. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0822854/
