Default Any George R.R. Martin fans?

I really love the Game of Thrones HBO series. The HBO series is based on George R.R. Martin's A Song of Fire and Ice books. These books though are hard to get into IMHO. There are so many characters involved that you need the Internet to keep everything straight.

Except for classic fantasy books like Alice in Wonderland, Edgar Rice Burroughs many fantasy novels, and the Lord of the Rings books along with The Hobbit cannot say that I am much of a fan of fantasy though.

I must say I watched Game of Thrones and thought I would like the books. But the books alas are too much like work. Whoever made them into the TV series is brilliant!

Agree about the writers of Game of Thrones. The books are slightly different from the series though which does induce a headache if you try to understand the books through the HBO series.
