Default Debbie Macomber Fans?

Any Debbie Macomber fans? Are you watching the Cedar Cove Series? Have you read the Cedar Cove books? Other books?

Yes, I read all the Cedar Cove books and really enjoyed them. I'll have to say I was disappointed in the tv series. I thought Andie McDowell was way too whiney for Olivia. Don't know if I'll watch anymore.

We (that means my wife) watched it and were not impressed. But as usual we will try one more before we give up.

since i never read the books i had no pre-conceived thoughts about it (the book is usually better than any film) so i enjoyed the hallmark movie very much...i will look for the sequels...

I've never read the books therefore didn't already have the story in my head to begin with.

As for books going into movies...it's hard to properly develop characters for movies, particularily t.v. movies. The story-line is usually pretty broad PLUS this was a Hallmark movie...so would be a bit lighter fare I would think. I enjoyed it!!

I have read all of her books.
Watched the 1st Cedar Cove show and agree that
Olivia's character was miscast.
Will watch more and see if it gets better.

Have read all the books and am now starting on The new ones, "The Inn at Rose Harbor" is the first in this come back to Cedar Cove Series. I also have been watching the Cedar Cove Series on Hallmark and I love it. It is just so refreshing to not have to deal with, violence, swearing, loud background music, etc. I am definitely a Macomber fan and have been for a long time.

Never read any of her books. Not having pre-conceived thoughts, I LOVE the series. Great location too. Would love to visit some day.

We were in Seattle a couple of years ago. Wish we had know about "Cedar Cove" then, since we were looking for someplace charming to spend a day or two. Next time......

As for the show, I enjoy it but not enough to hurry home to see it, or if I forget, I don't much care. Easy enough to catch up on the story line next time. I find Olivia a bit insipid, too.
