Default Racy book about The Villages

I just read a kindle book that I bought on Amazon called Cougar in The Villages, and I don't live in The Villages, but am thinking of retiring there. Is there any validity to this book? It actually seems like a fun place to live.

If you are looking for a lot of "action", who knows? If you are looking for a lot of golf, definitely.

KetelOne, besides a sizeale pack of cougers, it has been reported that there has been a flock of vultures spotted. You know, they are almost like cougers, still young enough to hunt, but to old to actually bring their prey down.

I read some of that book online and it looks rather like the author just put in the words The Villages into her soft porn book after maybe reading some of the book Lesiureville's racier parts. It might be true for a small percentage of the Villagers; but seemed to reflect more the author's desire to capitalize on Fifty Shades of Grey; Leisureville and Cougar Town more than anything else.

My recollection may be flawed but I thought that book was written by a woman who ives in The Villages. So it must be true

If all this publicity about swing parties and cougars in The Villages wasn't so ridiculous I might actually be offended.

Cannot find any information about Debra Gehry anywhere even though the Amazon blurb says she's an "acclaimed authoress".

Forgive me if I am wrong, OP.

"Some see things that never were, and ask why not.". anonymous. The book sounds like a bunch of old guys sitting around telling "stories" and some smart lady over heard the conversations and put them into writing. That's why women are smarter than men!

Ditto. However.....I downloaded the book onto my Kindle. I will just as quickly get my refund for it and delete it....as soon as I type this.

The copyright is 2012 by G.W. Coatoam.

I'd type the various chapters, which speak for themselves, however, do not want to violate this copyright.

She or he does state at the very beginning that the book is totally fictitious and simply a product of the author's imagination. Any resemblence to the Villages, Florida is strictly coincidental. It's a very long "explanation" of although the book is set in or near The Villages Florida, with residents aged 55 or older, the story is not intended to suggest that the actions are typical of the residents of THE VILLAGES.
The police department and fire department are fictitious as well as the Marion County Sheriff's office and the Mid Florida Regional Hospital and Trauma Center...........also fictional.

So, why bother? Just change the name of the town to a fictitious one, right?

As another poster mentioned, it is poorly written.

Fifty Shades of Grey was written by someone with a very different writing ability. At least with that "trilogy" I got through most of the second book, before it and the third book just fell by the wayside. All downloaded on my kindle.

So, much ado about nothing. Don't waste your money. I'm going to get my refund now. That's the great thing about amazon and the kindle.
If you download a book that just isn't good, you can get a quick refund and credit to your charge card.

I really do not think I could waste my time on this book.........but curious minds want to know. Now I know.

p.s. I also read Leisureville years ago........and did not find this book to be anything at all like that one.
