Question Best Christmas movies.

71 Best Christmas Movies of All Time - Best Christmas Films Ever Made

I just watched Home Alone again but had not seen it in years.

It is number 5 on this list.

Not sure if I would consider Die Hard a Christmas movie.

Why not? It may not have Christmas as it's subject, but if you enjoy it as an alternative for viewing during the holiday season, then it counts in my book. Personally, I like the original Japanese version of Gojira (Godzilla) for my holiday viewing. Me reliving a past life holiday experience.

Was on tv yesterday here in UK.

The Great Escape was always on here at Christmas as well up until a few years ago.
I never liked the thing, but my German BIL was an avid fan of the movie!

The Lemon Drop Kid , the movie has a wonderful scene where Bob Hope and Marilyn Maxwell sing the classic Christmas song Sliver Bells introduced for the first time , Hope is rather funny in this one and less silly then some others he’s played in

"Krampus," please keep an open mind about this selection. it's a movie i insist we watch each year, & yes, it can be heartwarming. Krampus (2015) - IMDb

it's a Christmas staple here, mostly because, imo, it's a well-made film. most of Capra's movies are very enjoyable.

My favorite movies/shows about Christmas are 3, 6, 15, 28, 70. Not a Home Alone person at all. And never cared for Carrey's Grinch, I'll take the 30-min cartoon every time. I'm okay with his Christmas Carol because he's only annoying in one scene.

Scrooge is my favorite Xmas movie but it has to be the 1951 version with Alister Sims. The best!

Coincidently during the mid-70s one of my holiday viewing movies was the Japanese monster movie called King Kong Escapes at the theater in town. It was a few weeks before Christmas in Hawaii when it was out and the stores and mall nearby were all decorated with lights. Just the whole experience during the holiday and feeling back then; one of my favorite "guilty pleasure" memories.
