Default Price rise at the Rialto Theatre.

I assume this also happened at the Old Mill Playhouse as well. It is now $6.75 for Village residents with i.d. cards.

I did not notice the other prices.

This afternoon, I went to see The Clash of the Titans which was just O.K. The special effects did not really seem to need IMAX or 3D though even though the movie is one you should see on a bigger screen.

Still a bargin. When I go here in VA, tickets $15 each, 1 large popcorn and 2 sodas another $25 for a toatl of $55 to see a movie. Why I see most of them on netflicks. Amazes me they sell so many tickets. Cost a family of four $100 to attend a movie.

DH ordered a pay per view movie the other night. Seemed like a bargain. Five minutes later, there he was on the couch, snoring.

I am a Blockbuster renter. $19.95 a month - three at a time - unlimited rentals per month. Usually get the latest releases. During the slow TV season I can do at least 5-6 movies a week.

No one sitting next me to p*iss me off and I can stop the movie to refresh my beverage - or restart it if I happen to take a nap.

Also it has Closed Caption.

Doesn't get any better than that!!

Default price of movies

Wow! I think it's still $8.00-9.00 for a first run movie at most theaters in Columbus, Ohio, although we usually go to the second-run theater (which has gone up to $1.50 or 2.00). $6.75 is a bargain, especially for the elevated seat theaters at Lake Sumter Landing

Default Price of movies

Went to see "The Last Song" Monday night--there was maybe two dozen people in the theater. Maybe they could show the movie fewer times and try to fill up the theater? Then they wouldn't have to go up on the prices.
Still, I guess a bargain. Any one know why we do not have 3D?
