Seems more like a Bible-thumping Road Warrior...
...but without much of the special effects of the Mel Gibson Road Warrior trilogy.

Didn't the name Denzel Washington a the lead actor give you a clue? He did not deserve the Oscar for that piece of garbage Training Day. And it has gone to his head.
I don't know of any movie he made that was that great.
