Default Clint Eastwood - Actor or Director?

Do you like Clint Eastwood better as an actor or director.
Off the top of my head, films he acted in:
1. Dirty Harry.
2. The Enforcer.
3. The Good the Bad and the Ugly.
4. The Unforgiven.
5. Bridges of Madison County.
6. Play Misty for Me.

Directed:
1. Sands of Iwo Jima
2. Flags of our Fathers.
3. Mystic River.
4. The Outlaw Josey Wales.
5. I think he may have directed, "Play Misty for Me".
6. The same for "The Unforgiven".

I think The "Unforgiven" is the best western I've ever seen. Loved the line, "make my day" in Dirty Harry".

Hmmmmmmm.......... I'm voting for director.

He's great as an actor and director. My favorites are "The Outlaw Josey Wells" and Unforgiven". "Gran Torino" is also one I watch now and then. "Trouble with the Curve" is a good movie also and not many know about it.

All mentioned beforehand were really good movies but you have to include American Sniper and the newest one, Sully, as some of his best work as a director also.

Clint Eastwood - Rotten Tomatoes

Unforgiven is one of my favorite movies. I like a lot of his work both movies he directed as well as many he has acted in.

Recall that his Harry Callahan character was a favorite of Mrs. Barbara Mitchell at Earl Wooster High School back in Reno, Nevada.

But, she would temper this with Henry Fonda's The Ox-Bow Incident which was clever and wise given her circumstances.

Ox-Bow Incident. That is a movie I could watch over and over. I suspect it may have influenced Clint Eastwood's " Hang Em High, another favorite

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. I saw it 50 years ago, and it still blows me away today.

I loved his performance in Tightrope. That movie made me realize what a gifted actor he is.
