Tal, cool website! Thanks. I'll wait until the crowds die down too. Mama Mia is first on my list though - love the music, love the actors even if reviews were mixed. The Dark Knight reviews were really good - looks like they have hit on the right formula for a truly good movie, albeit a dark one for sure. The Heath Ledger factor certainly is a draw too. Can't wait to see it.

Looks like the Dark Knight has earned a record amount of $ over the weekend. It probably does not have the legs of Titanic but I would guess will be the top money earner this year. http://www.the-numbers.com/movies/2008/BATM2.php

Saw The Dark Knight yesterday at the Rialto and it is a very dark movie but quite good in every area.

Believe it is too frightening though for many smaller kids as some in the media have suggested. http://www.usatoday.com/life/movies/...-no-kids_N.htm

Tal, Mama Mia is first on my list also. I know you usually see every movie as soon as it hits the screen ... any comments on M.Mia?

That one has been a little too crowded the past week so I will probably see that one this week. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/mamma_mia/

It looks like a funner movie for me than The Dark Knight which was quite bleak for me.

I saw the Dark Knight last week. Best Bat Man movie to date. I think Heath Ledger, deserves an Oscar for his role as the Joker in The Dark Knight ... Excellent movie don't wait for the video dvd. A must see on the big screen.

Saw Mamma Mia today at the Old Mill Playhouse.

Liked Mamma Mia more than The Dark Knight even though I think I saw the numbers I have been using in my survivors of crimes' access to practical information fight ( 2 2 4 and 6 1 3) in The Dark Knight and do not remember them popping up anywhere in Mamma Mia.

Amusingly I did get some snide remarks back in 1991 from U of MN law school students about my thinking I was Batman. That's when I was hoping to do something about the niche in practical information in libraries-- especially law libraries-- for victims of crimes from WITHIN the law librarianship profession. I only started using these numbers 2 2 4 and 6 1 3 in mid 1993 though after telling a researcher at the University of California San Francisco Medical School about all the problems I had trying to be honest about holes in librarianship services I had discovered following the February 24, 1976 murder of my then English teacher's daughter, Michelle Mitchell in Reno, Nevada. I was subject number 6 1 3 in a late 1992 early 1993 17 week stress study in which the researcher at UCSF Medical School was involved.

Mamma Mia was the kind of light entertainment I needed today.

Was surprised with the singing voices of the actors in Mamma Mia and by the talent of the Mean Girl who played the bride. She played the dumb blonde in Mean Girls http://www.imdb.com/media/rm4041186560/tt0377092.

Saw Dark Knight the other day and enjoyed it. Very much a DC Comic on the big screen. Heath Ledger was excellent.

Looks like The Dark Knight has won the fourth straight weekend in a row for highest gross at the US box office. http://www.the-numbers.com/interacti...hp?newsID=3617

I am not in a big hurry though to see The Dark Knight again even though many people must be seeing it two to more times.

In preparation for going to The Dark Knight Rises, I have been viewing Heath Ledger, Christian Bale and others in The Dark Knight. Still see it as a very dark movie and can understand how Mr. Ledger could have played his role just a little too well and taken in some of that madness the Joker character has in this movie.

I had not had much of a desire to see The Dark Knight since I saw it at the movie theater here in the Villages in July 2008.
