Thumbs down District 9

. . . is an 'oh, no!' That is, unless you love pervasively depressing scenery, ghastly violence, roach-like and tentacle-faced alien creatures, and the noise of non-stop weapon fire for large parts of the movie.

I know that some people will see a morality tale in this movie, and those people will love it; but my ears were ringing so much,a nd I was so often squeezing my eyes shut, that I couldn't think about that; I was only thinking about how much I wanted it to be over.

You will either love or hate this one.

Many other people also seemed to love this one as it is one of the Top 250 movies on the Internet Movie Database. Number #35 according to around 7600 votes. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1136608/ Also it is very well reviewed by the critics. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/district_9/

I saw this yesterday at the Villages' Rialto and a few rude people did walk out of the movie loudly proclaiming it was not too late to get your money back. Only these 3 people took up their call though.

Just like most of the movies today. But then I like entertaining but forgettable. And the more explosives and unbelievable stunts the better!!!

Default G.I. Joe has a large number of explosions and some awesomely unbelievable stunts.

I kept watching for Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner in G.I. Joe as the stunts and explosions were so over-the-top. Some of the acting was also about on the level of a 50s cartoon.

Thumbs up

Hey District 9 wasn't that bad of a movie. It was a little different yet entertaining. I did see a few people walk out and leave in the middle of the movie... lol. I would give the movie a 7/10 though.

If I could have gotten my money back, I would have left after about 20 minutes. Weird movie.

The BOOK OF ELI SUCKED

Can't believe Denzel Washington would make a movie like this .......It was kind of a POOR MAN'S' [B]MAD MAX.[B]

I rate it right in there with MEN WHO STARE A GOATS ....

Thank God I read to the end . At first I thought you were describing the new section of TV where I was looking at lots.

Phew. Thought you were referring to one of the new "to be built" areas south of 466A!
