Liked It!
If you're an animal lover, don't forget your hankie, and go see it. It's been on for 2 months, so I would imagine it will be ending soon in the theater.

Saw it yesterday with my daughter, came home and hugged my dogs and wondered, have we met before? Loved the movie. Talked about it a lot after. Really touching and sweet, and heartfelt.

The book is quite good but has had me crying a few times. It is also quite funny in places.

Movie was very good, but, as almost always, not as good as the book

My grandson, age 5, is visiting this Friday. He has already seen Beauty and the Beast. Would this movie be appropriate for him?

The movie is pretty good. Seems to skip over some of the troubling parts from the book.

The movie is still on my "to do" list. I imagine that this movie ties in to this music video (lyrics written by my brother). Enjoy (but have your hankies ready!)

Seriously???? ANY abuse is significant!!

There may not be any abuse evident in the movie itself, but there was abuse in the filming--so much so that Best Friend Animal rescue, the largest no kill rescue group in the US, pulled out of their agreement to receive a certain percentage of the profits from the movie. Video of the abuse was posted on YouTube.
Read the book. Then read the sequel, A Dog's Journey. No animals were traumatized in the writing of the books.
