Default Favorite Humphrey Bogart movie.

:: The Official Humphrey Bogart Website ::

Been watching a DVD of In a Lonely Place. Not one of Bogart's best. Wondering what would be your favorite Bogart movie? Mine would be The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. With The African Queen a very close second.

Mine was African Queen & Sabrina (yes, I like the rags to riches story) and my other half liked Sierra Madre. He also used to love Robert Mitchum, Sydney Greenstreet, Peter Lore .......... the old gangster movies.

And yes, Bogart and Bacall together - now that was magic!

I believe I just dated myself!

Clearly, for me, Casablanca......although I still think the ending is a little mawkish.

Maltese Falcone for me. There is another one where he plays a detective or private investigator that I can't think of the title.

Dead End-Bogie plays a great heel returning to the old neighborhood and dealing with the Dead End Kids.

The Big Sleep with Bogie playing Philip Marlowe and his wife, Lauren Bacall.
