Default Godzilla

Caught the first showing of "Godzilla" yesterday morning at Lake Sumter Landing. The movie is very dark, and I mean that literally. Most of it seems to take place underground. The special effects are good, but not outstanding in my opinion. I slept through about half of the movie, but the popcorn was good. Unless you are a "Godzilla" fan, I'd wait for Red Box or Netflix for this one.

I am more of a fan of some of these actors and actresses. Thanks for the review.

I liked Godzilla. It was quite an improvement over the last one I saw quite a long time ago in Palm Harbor in 1998. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/godzilla_2014/ http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/godzilla/

I saw it at the Old Mill Playhouse Auditorium 5 in 3D yesterday. And, I did not have to figure out if any of the smoke was real or part of the movie. No e-cig or regular cigarette smoker. I even had a synchronicity like event while watching it. But those have been getting quite frequent.

I prefer the version from the fifties staring Raymond Burr. The popcorn by the way was lousy.I much prefer the popcorn made in the local banks.

Man!...you got that right! Don't they know how to make a decent monster movie anymore?
The first remake was awful and the theme on this one was bad...really bad.
Sad thing too is the 3D it just doesn't pop like the old 3D...gives me a headache.

I have to say that I didn't like this movie. It took a good hour to see the monster and then when I did see Godzilla I didn't like him! I have to say that I am an old school kind of Godzilla fan....
