‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2′ Movie Review: Franchise Ends on an Exciting Note - ABC News

Not saying I am a big fan of this franchise but many tweens, teens still seem to be. Wonder why none of the Villages' three theaters picked it up to show on their 24 combined screens?

Default Twilight Sag

I haven't been a tween or a teen for many decades, but I was looking forward seeing this over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Guess we'll have to go to Lake Square Mall or Belleview - or maybe just wait for pay per view.

Bellview does same price as TV and on Tuesdays free Popcorn. It may show up next week because I believe OBama 2014 was a week late. I'm not a teen neither but wanted to see it,

My wife is a fan and is going to Ocala to see it. She is disappointed that Part 2 was not shown here after all the fanfare for the initial showings.

Summit Entertainment (the franchise for the other Twilight movies) was purchased by Lionsgate Studios, therefore Breaking Dawn 2 will not be shown here in the Villages. Here is the response I received from the Villages Theatres:

Unfortunately, The Villages Theatres will not be showing The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 due to the inability of Lionsgate Studios – the distributor of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 – to come to a contractual agreement with The Villages Theatre Division to play their movies.
We’re hoping an agreement comes soon however, there is no definitive timetable.
coming soon to YOUR Villages Theatres.

It is a continual disappointment to me that the Villages Theaters do not show Lionsgate movies, since they are some of the best.

Default My Wife Just Left For Belleview Twin Cinemas to See "Breaking Down Part 2"

She's really into that stuff. She's going alone she wants to see it so bad.

Thanks for the responses. I thought the Vesco's had taken over the movies, too.

Default Dirty Dancing remake.

This will be a Lionsgate movie as far as I know. Production has been delayed so maybe when it comes out the Villages' theaters will have a contract with Lionsgate. Believe it is now set for 2014 release.

Do you mean she is NOT going to see "Breaking Dawn-Part 2"? I'm gonna get the heck outta here because I don't want to listen to her wrath, if that's the case.

Default Just Heard from My Wife

She drove to Ocala. She said she was afraid to go into the Belleview theater. "Creepy people standing outside and dirty windows in an old strip mall.

Well, she has missed cocktails, and I'm hungry, so I hope she gets home, soon.

Oh, yeah, she loved the movie.

Been to the Belleview Theater. Usually there are no other people waiting for it. The place is tiny for a movie theater. Very few windows-- maybe one for the ticket taker and a door with some windows.

The screen is quite small too when compared with the Villages and Hollywood 16 in Ocala's screens.
