I saw "Megan Leavey" this weekend -- excellent movie - 4 stars in my book. Based on the true story of Cpl. Megan Leavey and her combat dog Rex, it is a story of heroism, bravery and loyalty by both human and canine warriors. Excellent performances all around, especially Kate Mara as Megan and the German Shepherd who played Rex. Bring your hankie to this movie.

Just one dog involved in portraying Rex? I also really liked the movie. It was rather crowded this afternoon at the Rialto Theater so word of mouth and other factors are filling the seats.

The real Megan Leavey also is in it playing a female drill sergeant.

I will have to buy the Blu-Ray and watch for the details in this very good film.
