A Simple Plan: a feeling of doom for the whole movie. And you would be right. Has been described as a neo-noir crime thriller. Bill Paxton, Billy Bob Thornton are very good. |

In an early scene, if you watch closely, you will see a clown driving a car. -- I saw that scene as foreshadowing. I assume the director did, too. Anyway, William Hurt most certainly was Matty's clown. I seldom watch movies more than once, but this one I have seen about 4 times, since 1981.......might make it 5.
