from the trailers i thought this was a comedy, filmed in Paris, a must see in my book....well, it was a drama with some very funny moments but the subject was quite heavy and serious. great acting and scenery.....enjoyed it very much!

Saw My Old Lady this afternoon with a girl friend. Was not at all what I was expecting. We came out and looked at each other and could not decide whether we liked it or not! It has superb acting with beautiful views of Paris, but it is what I would call a very dark movie - definitely not a comedy!

I think it is very similar to a Woody Allen movie. No violence. No swearing. No digital imaging of people flying around in capes .............. just a really good, well made movie that makes you think, really think.

I guess it is doing very well, we were at the 1:40pm showing and the theater was more than half full and today is the Italian Parade in SS. When we all filed out there was a long line of people waiting to get in ..................

i think most of the long lines were for Gone Girl....i had the same reaction you did....too bad you hadn't read my post so you would have known what to expect i guess any further comment would be considered a "Spoiler"..... but we decided we liked it, too!
