Do yourself a favor and take the short drive to the Hollywood Cinema in Ocala where you can watch this extraordinary movie in IMAX/3D. Absolutely beyond belief that most of the scenes could be captured on video. This movie is possibly the best disaster/thriller every made.

Excellent special effects. I thought the plot was fairly simple and the rescues. were a little far fetched.

I thought it was worth seeing, all in all. A good popcorn summer movie.

Not to burst your bubble but the scenes were almost all CGI and the actors were in front of green screens. We no longer know what is real and what isn't but in the disaster movies, most isn't.

I obviously understand that these are not "real" scenes and that they were developed with computer aids, fake backdrops, etc., however my point being that the reality of the scenes are so incredible that you would be inclined to think that they actually occurred as the movie progressed. And once again, by viewing in IMAX/3D you really feel like you are right there as these astonishing scenes take place.

Glad you liked it.

I had to go via car because I wanted to see it in 3D down at the Barnstorm in Brownwood. That's too far for me to cart from Lynnhaven (near Churchill Downs Recreation Center).

Saw it in 2D because 3D makes me dizzy. Like all good disaster movies it was so over-the-top that it was hilarious, not really scary at all. Special effects very well done. Friend who used to live in SF said she had a hard time recognizing parts of the city before they were obliterated
