Default Yankee Doodle Dandy Sun 9:45 TCM

I hesitated to list this one because every one knows how wonderful it is. But better safe than sorry. It makes me smile and then choke up with patriotism.
This is a wonderful movie and I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do. James Cagney brings George M Cohan to life.

Herb.... yes, a GREAT movie. The bedside scene with he and his father is brilliant. Thanks for the reminder.

Thanks for posting this. This is one film I have on video and usually watch faithfully every July 4. I agree it is a very patriotic film and I enjoy the story about the Cohan family's story.

Thanks for letting me know that you enjoyed it also.

I have many DVDs yet I rarely watch them. I like the idea of having them so I can watch when I want but it seems so much more special when they show up on TV. Herb

I remember watching that movie on television with my Mother. She absolutely loved this movie and my sister, brother and I also had a great time viewing this classic.

Thanks for the reminder about the movie. In addition to enjoying it, it brings back wonderful memories of Mom.
