Thumbs up St. Vincent

Brooklyn resident Vincent’s life may best be described as a “train wreck.” Then he gets two new neighbors, a recently divorced mom and her young son, who move into the house next door to Vincent. The relationship between Vincent and his new neighbors, especially the boy, is the central story behind “St. Vincent.” Shout outs go to Chicagoland natives Bill Murray, who plays Vincent, and Melissa McCarthy, who plays Maggie, the recently divorced mom. The young actor, Jaeden Lieberher, who plays Oliver, Maggie’s son, also did a very good job. I was under the impression this was going to be a comedy, but it’s actually about 50% drama, 50% comedy. I give it 3 stars.

Thank you for the review. I am interested in seeing the movie, but thought it might be too "Bill Murray" over the top farcical.

I saw the movie and totally enjoyed it. Murray's character reminded me of someone I knew back in the sixties, long gone now.
