Default Hallmark Channel

Has anyone been watching all the Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel? Most are sappy but I still love watching them. Anyone else agree?

Yes, we just rediscovered the HALLMARK Channel last week.
A breath of fresh air, for sure. Always enjoyed those Hallmark "specials" around holiday time; now it's nice to see that it's there 24/7. It's always "been there"; just that we weren't watching that channel. Now we are.

The Christmas movies are very cute and wholesome.....

We've been watching so many of the J.F.K. anniversary documentaries on every single channel.........so it's nice to see some Christmas movies for a change. A big sea change from our normally recorded CRIMINAL MINDS, HOMELAND, BOARDWALK, etc. (DEXTER and BREAKING BAD now gone).

Sweet and sappy is just fine at this time of the year.....
It reminds us of the kind of stuff our children used to watch......
We didn't have cable when we were raising our family.

I always say to my husband, "All of the blood and gore, torture and murder" on the cable channels surely is not going to turn us into serial killers at our age".........however, I am concerned about the younger generation who are saturated with that type of cable t.v. fare since their youth. Our son and his wife do not let their girls even watch t.v.
Our daughter and son in law only let their kids watch PBS and Nickolodean, Hallmark Channel, etc.........gentle shows.......but there are plenty of young kids left unattended with free reign over cable t.v.

Thanks for reminding everyone, by the way. Hallmark is great!
Can't wait for their upcoming Christmas special......soon.

I do, but it's a little early for me to watch Xmas shows, when Thanksgiving is not here yet!! Hallmary does have a lot of feel good shows. Little house on the Priarie is one that I watch from time to time. It is preferable to all the gory stuff you see today. I am not a fan of gory stuff. I don't watch any horror films, unless they are the classic Frankenstein, Dracula and Wolfman movies. They are relatively tame compared to what is out today.

I found it strange to me at least, that some stores were playing Xmas music and it's two weeks before Thanksgiving. I start to be the Xmas holiday mood, in December but that's just me , I guess.

Thumbs up Oh yes I am!

Yes, I've been recording all the shows and watching them on the weekends. Even though I am a reality show watcher, I love the Hallmark movies. It's nice to watch a movie where lives are changed for the good.

What???

The Godfather has gory stuff. Ditto for The Sopranos.

We get a kick out of "how fast" the team solves the issue at hand on Criminal Minds, but it is GORY, for sure.

Our kids were raised on Little House on the Prairie and The Waltons.
They are still good to watch. Decent shows.

Your last sentence says it all. I agree. Feel good, wholesome movies.
Some are quite humorous as well.

For general viewing, not sure if it's considered a reality show, Amazing Race is my all time favorite.

Survivor is getting "old" with them all sitting around and gossiping, backstabbing, etc. Just boring people.

They should locate them in a COLD rugged climate for a change...not just sitting around a beach. We'll see how they "survive" in the cold.

We've even watched the BIGGEST LOSER......as it's interesting to see how they evolve and change.

But, Hallmark Channel has been watched frequently of late, with all the showers and dismal weather we've had.......a good decent channel.

My nerve pill and turn off stress answer is HGTV or the cooking channels. I am so TIRED of Love it or List it but I love the High Low project and the Barefoot Contessa.(She does butter like the banned Paula Deen)

Giada De Laurentis is a very nice girl who truly is a good cook and loves children and is gracious and...just WONDERFUL and exquisitely beautiful.

I haven't felt such fanship since June Allyson.

Can't watch - I have diabetes and it raises my blood sugar!

I enjoy watching the Hallmark Christmas movies every year.

The Lifetime Channel also has Christmas movies.

I love the Hallmark channel, and all the Christmas stories, they are corny, but I love them anyway.

We love you MaryBB and you live in the most beautifully decorated home in all of the villages, and I saw you get a hole in one. And you are the funniest friend I have. And one of the dearest souls I have ever met.

Merry Christmas early.

Sorry. I believe in saying it when it's on your mind.

Yes, I'm watching them. Watched The Christmas Ornament on Saturday with Kelli Martin & Cameron Mathison. It was really good. Actually made me cry a little !!

That is one of my favorite channels!!! Both hubby and I watch! Love the Christmas movies even though I have seen most of them many times. I never get tired of those "sappy" movies LOL
