Default Thumbs Up for "Dog Days"

"Dog Days" is a very sweet, moving tale of dog owners interacting with each other through life's ups and downs. A couple of scenes may bring tears to your eyes. One story line featured a pug, one of my favorite breeds. Just a nice movie without adult language or violence. You could take your grandmother or 10 year old grandchild to this movie without hesitation. I give it 3 1/2 stars.

Lots of interesting looking movies to be released in the next couple of weeks. Better save my shekels.

We just saw Dog Days at Old Mill. Both of us love dogs anyway, but even if not we would have loved the movie as well.

It's such a sweet movie with a wonderful ensemble cast and nice easy understandable storylines. How dogs impact lives, and in this movie, dozens of folks are linked together by their pets. Was glad I took some napkins from the concession stand...a very happy ending....sweet. sob. No that's not THE S.O.B. acronym... We found it refreshing to go to a current movie and simply relax, and not endure constant CGI, actionactionaction, language, etc etc.

BYW one of our friends - they are snowbirds - live in TV and Massachusetts. They are Rob Corddry's parents. Rob's a well-known character actor in films and TV, and is in this film too.

Great review...so agree with you. No, there are no superheros or the forces of good vs. the forces of evil (not that there is anything wrong with those movies), just a nice, lower-key movie that the whole family can enjoy.
