It is one of Steven Spielberg's very early movies. Rotten Tomatoes: Movies | TV Shows | Movie Trailers | Reviews - Rotten Tomatoes

I saw that way back when it was first aired as an ABC Tuesday night "Movie of the Week" and was blown away by it. This is VERY early Steven Spielberg and already he was showing his mastery of tense film making. Exciting, mysterious, energetic and ambiguous. Great flick.

It looks like it costs $3.99 to rent. Is that correct?

Chester really stepped up his game. Matt and Kitty had to be proud.

I would check the local library first. They might have it on DVD.

I saw that movie when it first came out. I have often thought: If I were the driver of that car I would have made sure the truck was not drivable when I saw it in the parking lot of the dinner. I know, it's only a movie.
What would you have done?

seen the real deal on too many interstates across the usa . The trucks drive right up to your bumper within 5 ft and it doesn't matter what lane you're in. No thanks

I saw it back when, except for Psycho it's the scariest movie I've ever seen. Heart pounding....

My Dad, being a heavy equipment operator and trucker told me all the antagonized driver had to do was cut an air line. That effectively locks the brakes, making the truck immovable. End of story, end of film...lol.

I don't think many people would know how to do that.

Dual is a great one!
I'm a 70's film nut. With some exceptions I rarely watch a film made after 1984.
Not an old fogie, I'm just a 61 year old guy with standards. I enjoy spaghetti westerns, Italian giallos, grindhouse horror and action, British folk horror and 42nd st exploitation.
Mainstream films such as The Godfather, Taxi Driver etc.
Would love to start a dvd swapping club once we get settled.
