My parents saw Unforgiven while visiting relatives in the western part of Illinois and raved about how meaningful this movie was.

I went to see it a few days after that and agreed with them.

It is about a lawman who abuses his power to his own ends and the people who stand up to him. Some of these are
former ruthless gunfighters who are trying to do the right thing in the circumstances.

i agree, it's one of my fave Eastwood westerns; all solid performances. anyone who hasn't seen it should make the time.
