To me, his movies since Unbreakable having been getting worse each two years. Still love The Sixth Sense which is one of the scariest movies I have ever seen but he does not seem to be able to re-capture the movie magic from that one.

Did really like the numbers in The Happening for some reason. :joke:

Although I did like The Village. Haven't seen The Happening but have read some bad reviews.

We saw The Happening the other day and I have to say it was one of the worst movies I have seen. It was a ridiculous story line and had terrible writing and acting. I liked Mark Wahlberg in Invincible and The Departed but he had no emotion in this one. The woman who played his wife was worse. I usually like Shyamalan's movies. My favorite was The Sixth Sense.

I think he did his best work in The Sixth Sense. I still love to watch that movie.

The Entertainment Weekly for June 27 & July 4, 2008 (double issue #s 999 and 1000) list The Sxith Sense as #39 in the Best Movies of the past 25 years. They have Pulp Fiction as #1 which I have a lot of trouble with as to its ranking.

This issue ranks movies, TV shows, albums, books, and other things of the last 25 years. Really interesting EW issue.

Wow, Pulp Fiction is #1, I don't agree with that at all. Weird. It's a good movie, but definitely not for the number one spot.

It seems to be pretty high on the Internet Movie Database Top 250 movies list at number 5. http://www.imdb.com/chart/top

Not sure I would rank it that high there either.

Yes The Happening is a scary movie. It is the first R rated M. Night Shyamalan film.

My granddaughter and her boyfriend went to see The Happening while we were visiting, but they weren't allowed to talk about it because my daughter wants to see it and didn't want it spoiled.

My daughter and I used to spend many a Sat. afternoon watching scary movies when my DH worked overtime. She passed the love of them to her daughter.
