Sadly, the epithet “hate-filled”, these days, means anything written or spoken by someone with a different opinion. We have regressed to a third grade mentality.

As I was flipping channels last night, I saw an unbelievably old and decrepit Harrison Ford doing a presentation to an audience that looked like the size of customers at TooJays restaurant. Watched for about two minutes and flipped to something else. It was like watching paint dry.

Default Wait of my time to listen to over bloated people as I their opinion mattered to me

Waste of time. Overpaid actors who pat themselves on theselves on the back as they they live behind their walls in guarded estates. Then tell us we should be open.
Meanwhile they threatened to go to Canada. How come not Mexico? Standard of living to crappy there! Sounds like a load of hypocrisy.

Nope. Didn't watch, didn't care! I have zero interest in being preached to by those pompous "elites"! It's been decades since I had any interest in their banal, hypocritical creations! Their movies are based on all the dark sides of human nature. Nothing to celebrate! Used to be such fun to root for your favorite movie! But, that required actually embracing a "favorite" movie that you actually enjoyed watching! Never happens any more!
(Did enjoy "News of The World". I'm sure it wasn't nominated for anything.)

I plan to be picking the pebbles out of my tire treads around that time. Too busy to watch the "Mutual adoration society".

All those award shows are a complete waste of time. I would rather watch paint dry - it would be more fun. Can't imagine why anyone with a brain would bother to watch them.

Personally, I think that movies and a series like Amazon Prime productions are better than most of the movies from 10 or 20 years ago. Digitally enhancement by computer graphics makes them better. Titles like Yellowstone, Bosch, the Man in the High Castle, The Expanse, Fleabag, Red Oaks, Sneaky Pete, The Boys, and a real sleeper-"Patriot" all have merit even compared to old classics. The modern writers and directors are cranking out more numerous quality movies than I have hours in the day to watch!

Well, our little poll was about 94% NO.
Apparently the rest of the country took a dive in interest and tune-in:

USA Today
Ouch: Oscars ratings hit (another) all-time low, dropping 58%

You didn't think the Oscars would escape the ratings dive befalling every other awards show, did you?

Sunday's 93rd annual Academy Awards, held at Los Angeles' Union Station, plunged to 9.9 million viewers, according to preliminary Nielsen estimates. That's down 58% from last year's pre-pandemic 23.6 million viewers, then a record-low that was down by 6 million from 2019.

The Oscars claimed just 1.9% of adults ages 18 to 49, down from 5.3% in last year's preliminary results.

Oscars ratings drop 58% to new record low
