Default Beatles Ed Sullivan Anniversary

The 50th anniversary of the Beatles appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show will be Feb 9, 2014. The Beatlemaniacs of the Villages are considering having a special event that evening. We might try to get a larger rec center and charge admission for a special evening. We would show video of the Feb 9, 1964 performances, have live bands playing Beatles music, food and perhaps a special speaker.
I'm trying to get a feel for how many people here might be interested in attending such an event.

Are you considering showing the entire broadcast, including the Artful Dodger from the London production of Oliver?

Default Beatles

My wife saw them at Shea Stadium 1965.
How she convinced her parents to go to this day I cannot understand.
She was so young travelling on NYC subways...

We drive to TV on 2/9 for our 2/12 closing. Wonder if she would want to go?

I saw them twice at Shea. I still have one ticket stub and program.

Sounds like a lot of fun! Count me in. I have only made it the Beatlemaniacs' club a couple times only because of my work schedule, but they are a lot of fun, are very talented, and play some great music. If you get a chance you should really check them out!
