Default Villages Pops Chorus Concert August 22

Hi everyone. The second ever concert by The Villages Pops Chorus will be August 22 at 7PM at North Lake Presbyterian Church. If you are not familiar with our group, we are a new group dedicated to singing choral arrangements of popular songs. At our first concert in April, we had 135 singers and an enthusiastic audience of 948 people. Many of our members are also current or former members of The Village Voices, Bach With a Beat, The Belle Chords, and veterans of various musical productions.

Our upcoming concert will include songs as diverse as "Autumn Leaves", "Dancing Queen", "I Say a Little Prayer For You", "Try To Remember", and a great medley titled "The Sixties: Music That Rocked The World". We will be joined by well-known Villages musician Dave Czohara on a few songs. Tickets are available at all Villages Box Office locations and on line, and are only $12 per person. Portions of the proceeds from our concerts will go to local charitable groups. We hope you will come and hear us sing!

I am so sad the Village Voices are no longer. I hope it had nothing to do with the fact that they always performed some religious music.

I wish your group well. We will come and see you.

Hi Gracie. We will look forward to seeing you! And please be aware that Village Voices is very much alive and well, although under different leadership as Dr. Willetts has retired as their director. Many of our Pops Chorus people sing in both groups.
