Default Buddy Holly's Gone Away

Yes, Buddy Holly has gone away, but for folks my age the memory lingers on, as do so many others from the 1950s. You've all seen those forwarded emails with an attachment "Lost In the '50s" (or some such title) that shows a '57 Chevy, a poodle skirt, a roller skate key, etc., that brings the memories flooding back. I write song lyrics and decided I'd put those memories to song and put the video on YouTube. Many of my friends have seen it, loved it, and suggested I put it out to a larger audience - and what larger (and better) audience than The Villages. So, by golly, that's what I'm doing. (Hate to see my effort go to waste.
So, if you're interested, (and I hope you are) go to YouTube (YouTube.com) and search on my YouTube ID, 10milecracker
where you'll see "Buddy Holly's Gone Away" and my other songs there. ("Older Generation" and "He's An Old Eagle" are the most popular, but they've been out there a lot longer.) I'm hoping you'll enjoy them and, if so, will forward them to folks in The Villages (and anywhere else) who remember "the good old days". Thanks in advance for watching.
By the way, I grew up in Ft Pierce FL, so a shout out to anyone there in The Villages who I might know.

Those of us who are actually in TV are lucky to have a band called Johnny D and the Starlights out of Orlando perform here 3 or 4 times a month at the squares or Katie Belles. In fact they performed last night at Spanish Springs square and even though it was very windy and somewhat cool after the front had come through, they're was a huge crowd. The lead singer actually performed in the play of the Buddy Holly Story, and their set list includes a lot of Buddy Holly and many other rockabilly songs of that era. Go to their website link below and check them out.

I once lived in Cummings, Georgia for six months in 1988. Very unusual place, I was there right after Oprah came and put on her TV show to advertise that Cummings and Forsyth County have no black people living there and is just 40 miles from Atlanta. They also at that time, had the largest volunteer fire department in the USA. It was a major change when having to drive into Atlanta for work each day.

Good luck with your music career.

Pretty much a note for note ripoff of Danny O'Keefe's
Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues.
