A benefit concert will be held on Monday October 3 at 7 PM at North Lake Presbyterian Church for Sozo Kids. 100% of the ticket sales will go to the charity. The funds raised will be used to support transportation services which help the children living in the Ocala Forest get to school. The performers, all of whom are donating their talents, include John Rogerson and Jill Marrese, Sue Schuler, Alex Scopino, Jack Kolinski, Diana and Joe Arlt, Jan Lavin, Chris Bolus, Carolyn Hoffman, Phil Caltabelotta, Carter Poust, Bill Davis, Mary Lou Merkner, The Pops Chorus Folk trio, and a preview of an upcoming musical. Tickets are just $10 each and can be purchased at North Lake on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 AM to 2 PM, and on Fridays from 10 AM to Noon. They will also be available at the door. Please come and support this important cause and enjoy a delightful evening of music from some of the best entertainers The Villages has to offer.

SoZo Kids - sozo kids It is believed that 45,000 people live within the borders of the Ocala National Forest, the second oldest and second largest forest in the United States, established by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1908. Within these 430,000 acres of residential land are living families and children in abject rural poverty. Recognizing this need, the Help Agency developed SoZo Kids in attempt to rescue as many families and children as possible. So, what is SoZo? The word SoZo is a Greek word that means to rescue; to save; to heal; to make whole. With many of these families living without electricity and running water, that has become SoZo's aim... to rescue as many lives as possible through programs, events, education, love, compassion and whatever means necessary. |

We have gotten the word out in a number of ways and are still working on it. It's an on-going process. Thanks very much for your support.
