I'm part of a new band called Britrock in the Villages playing all the hits from British rock artists.
The band consists of myself and four other well known and excellent musicians who have been in other Villages bands.
Wayne Beal has been in the Real Deal, Boardwalk and Bedrock.
Marge Phillips has played for the Moonlighters, the British Invasion and has done hundreds of solo gigs.
Tom Fraser has played with The British Invasion and currently plays with Rattletrap, T Time and Woody and the Longboards.
Filling in for now on lead guitar is Gary Davis. Gary is the leader of the very popular Advanced Acoustic Guitar Club. He also runs two jazz clubs. He played with Flashback, The Beatlemaniacs of the Villages and is currently with Konnection.
As some of you might know, I am the founder of The Beatlemaniacs and have played many gigs with the various members, as well as playing with The British Invasion, The Threatles and Woody and the Longboards.

Can you give some examples of bands you cover? I’m assuming Beatles, which I could live without. Hoping some Pink Floyd. I assume most Villagers aren’t ready for the British Metal invasion but I’d love some Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. There are a lot more of us hard rockers down south.

I could go for some Culture Club, anybody in the group dress like Boy George? Can we have some Depeche Mode? Duran Duran? Eurhythmics? The Human League? The Kinks?

Paul McCartney was the best and showed his true talent with Wings. IMO.

As much as I’m a metal head I do enjoy the 80s new wave stuff for nostalgic reasons. Just as an FYI check out the band Fancy Reagan. They play a lot of that.
