Default Looking for a good vocalist to join local band

A group of like-minded Villages guys (guitars, bass, drums and keyboard) have been getting together weekly to play music from the late fifties to the seventies and having a ball doing it. We're in search of a good vocalist (male or female) to carry most of the singing duties. The guys can add backup vocals but no one is comfortable enough with their vocal skills to take many of the leads.

Here's a sampling of some songs we are playing, and if you are able to carry lead vocals on these types of tunes we would like to talk with you about joining in with our efforts: 96 Tears (Question Mark and The Mysterians), Love in The First Degree (Alabama), House of the Rising Sun and Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood (The Animals), Soul Man (Blues Brothers/Sam and Dave), The Letter (The Box Tops), Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye (The Casinos), Johnny B. Goode and Rock and Roll Music (Chuck Berry), Runaway (Del Shannon), Fooled Around and Fell in Love (Elvin Bishop), All Right Now (Free), Long Cool Woman (The Hollies), He Will Break Your Heart (Jerry Butler), Margaritaville (Jimmy Buffett), Louie, Louie (The Kingsmen), Devil With A Blue Dress/Good Golly Miss Molly (Mitch Ryder and The Detroit Wheels), Honky Tonk Woman/Satisfaction (The Rolling Stones)...and the list goes on but this gives you the general idea. As you can tell from this sample song list our "menu" is diverse so we need a vocalist to can cross several genres of music. If that is you we would like to hear from you. If you have a recorded sample you could send that would be great, or we can meet to audition.

Send me a private message on TOTV or email me at sixstringmusic@yahoo so we can discuss you desire and abilities.

Hi:
I did some online searches for you and came upon bandmix.com. You can find musicians on there. Not sure if there is a fee but if you search by your zip code quite a few come up. Good luck. Looking forward to hearing your band.
