The new band Flipside was really great! Played great music not normally heard around here. Nice to see a good horn section! This band is going to grow in popularity quickly!

I was really surprised that there wasn't very much advertising for this great event. I didn't hear about it on the radio once. I don't believe the Villages television station mentioned it. The only promotion may have been a notice in the Recreation News and the many clubs and bands that sent out notices like I did.

There was a fair amount of people there, but I think there could have been a lot more had they done a little promotion.

Thanks for the nice comment... As the keyboard player for Flipside it is nice to hear feedback. I do have to agree with previous post that the Rec dept could have done more to promote it but as a musician and a resident it's great that we have a venue to showcase the talent in the Villages.. There are a lot of fantastic artist here in The Villages and I enjoyed just walking around and listening to all of the talent.. From harmonica to jazz to rock n roll.. we have it all here! Once again thanks and "We'll see you on the Flipside"

The Music Showcase was great!

With the variety of music performed there was something for everyone. I really enjoyed The Orion Trio, outstanding musicians.

My favorite was Rock and Roll With a Purpose, the music was wonderful with more of that hard rock, Santana, Rolling Stones, Doobie Brothers, Van Morrison and many others that made me and my friends want to dance in the aisles.

Look forward to their next performance.

I don't think that most people who are not musicians understand how complex and difficult to play some of pieces done by the Orion Trio are. I couldn't believe that they pulled off Brubeck's Blue Rondo ala Turk with such perfection. Absolutely spectacular! I was embarrassed to even get on the stage after that.
