singer Percy Sledge passed away yesterday at 74 of natural causes...he gave us that great song, When a Man Loves a Woman! i love that song and his soulful rendition....few songs do justice to the deep emotions of being in love!

I agree, this is a loss to any of us over the age of 65. What a great song that was and the memories are priceless. If only we had known at that age what lay ahead!!

It is also a loss to those under 65 as well!!! Loved that song, it is timeless, just like Unchained Melody.

Sometimes when you have such a big hit as Percy did,people tend to forget your other work.Percy had several other hits though not as big ,were very good.He will be missed.I saw him at the PBS taping in Pittsburgh and he was terrific.
